Your school's firewalls are there for the explicit purpose of preventing not educational use of the network. Your agreement to use their network specifically outlines your responsibilities and restrictions on network use.

I suggest you stop trying to circumvent the policies on a network you DON"T PAY FOR!

If you want to update your Facebook/Myspace/Other, then I suggest you get on an internet connection you PAY FOR or go to a place where internet access is free (Starbucks, web Cafe's etc.) and use your own equipment and do so on your own time.

It's amazing how people feel that they have the right to utilize systems that they don't pay for. What if I got a cordless phone and drove up in your driveway and used your phone system to make long distance calls? Would you be willing to continue to pay the bill? Then once you realize that how I was doing it, you spent the extra $$ to purchase a more expensive 'secure phone'. But, hey... I have a buddy who works for the phone company that shows me how to tap into your line and continue to make my calls and stick you with bill. What you are trying to do is no different.

So... stop trying to circumvent the controls and PAY FOR YOUR DANG INTERNET ACCESS!

Try http://wikity .info - I set it up a few days ago so should still be unblocked at most places! (It's using a new script that has better support for Myspace, Facebook, bebo etc)
