Any good ideas so my parents will let me have a myspace?

I've asked my parents like, a ton of times and they say the same thing. "There's creeps out there and they like tall blonde girls!" I told them that i can set my profile 2 private, only accept friends that i actually know, set my location 2 somewhere outta the US, and that they can get a myspace themselves to monitor me.... but it doesnt change their minds. i tell them that EVERYONE has 1 and all my mom does is say not everyone! jessica and grace dont have one! its super annoying! i even try to say that im not stupid. its not like imma go on there and be all like ya i live here and go to this school and blah blah blah! i mean seriously! they wont even let me look at my friends myspaces! its sad and it sucks cuz when my friends ask me if i have 1, i have 2 say im not allowed to.... i'm one of the very few people in my school who dont have a myspace....... anything else i could tell my parents to let me have one??? please no lectures saying how dangerous it is. im smart. i know.... thanx

you could set up the account with them next to you, send them an invitation to be your friend ( after they set up their account) and then give them all your names and passwords so they can check any time they want. Good luck!!!

i got one for school purposes and i had friends that were going to collage and i couldnt stay in touch with them and my history class replies to blogs for grades...its pretty cool...if you ask me!

but i got off lucky...

show them the myspace privacy settings...mines locked up tight...

how old are you, myspace has an age limit anyways. If you have to ask your parents then you are probably to young to have one anyways.

I don't know how old you are but it is dangerous and so you dot have a myspace well it doesn't matter because you aren't the one who might get kidnapped

Tell your parents that you can put it on private so that only people that you know will be allowed to visit your page. Tell them that you will be responsible (and do it) and then ask them. Maybe that will change their minds. I hope that this helps you! Good luck!

You could tell them its just another site for you to check your email and talk to your friends. there arent many stalkers on myspace (i should noe i have one), but if someone you dont know adds you, you shloud just delete them. You should also tell your parents that myspace had gotten safer. srry i couldnt be much of a help but once parents set their minds to one thing, its very hard to try and convince them other wise. (sad i noe)

omg..thats how my parents are with me. i want one so bad and they say no. EVERYONE in my school has one and im one of the few that dont. just like you. but since i have my own laptop, im thinking of making one and not telling them.

see if they'll let you share one with them and just have a "family" page. maybe they just don't want your info on the net because they are worried something bad will happen. my husband won't get a myspace account because he doesn't want people to have access to his info... he doesn't know what he's talkin about though, because you have to select who gets to see your info, and you don't have to write personal things.... good luck, don't worry thought because "everyone" does NOT have myspace, it just seems like it.

sorry girl you got stuck with strict parents, but you're probably better off, b/c myspace IS creepy. And don't worry, you're not missing much...the novelty wears off quickly and it gets boring
