Should schools ban myspace.com?

Some schools (including my own) are starting to ban myspace.com and the dean at our school goes on to high schooler's myspaces and can get them suspended for showing just a picture of alcohol or drugs. you can also get in trouble for any sexual innuendos. your thoughts on this???

Should schools ban myspace.com?

The only thing myspace is good for is getting stalked. Ban it, ban it, ban it!

Should schools ban myspace.com?

Absolutely not! I for one love myspace and even if everyone else thinks it sucks it's a fun place to talk with your friends. And new flash SCHOOL SUCKS! Lots of people meet bad people on myspace because they are dumb enough to go out and meet them. Myspace is not responsible for your actions. Report It

Should schools ban myspace.com?

Absolutely, School is for learning not screwing around on the internet.

Should schools ban myspace.com?

For sure...they should block it out. Put a filter on the network to prevent that...I can't believe how bad that site is. Too easy to get in to trouble for the younger crowd...sorry.

Should schools ban myspace.com?

Invasion of privacy! As long as your not using myspace at school, they should have no govern of what you do out of school. I smell law suits.

Should schools ban myspace.com?

i go with both of them.. Ban is not a bad idea

Should schools ban myspace.com?

They are within their right to prevent students from accessing it from computers on school property, but I believe it's a violation of the first amendment if students are forbidden from having pages on myspace that they access on their own time, especially if it's a public school and they have their parents' consent.

Should schools ban myspace.com?

Uh, yeah it should be blocked. Myspace has been linked to multiple felony crimes, including (but not limited to) sexual acts with minors. Furthermore, alcohol has no place in the schools, and drugs even less so. However, showing a pic of them shouldn't get you suspended (1st Amendment rights come in here).

I will say, however, that if you *must* use myspace, then you can use what's called a proxy to get through. Ask you school's tech guru kid (they all seem to have a few).

Should schools ban myspace.com?

Your Dean is correct!!! There is NO REASON for you to go on myspace during school hours. Anyone who is under 21 should not be drinking and doing drugs so there is NO REASON for you to have those things on your profile. ACT YOUR AGE!!! It is irresponsible kids like that that are ruining it for all the adults on myspace. Just this morning on the news I heard of a mother that wanted to sue myspace because her daughter fell prey to a predator online. Parents need to make sure their children are not talking to strangers and kids should know not to talk to strangers in the first place. Use some common sense when online with ANYONE.

Should schools ban myspace.com?

Should schools ban myspace.com?

I think MySpace.com should be banned from all schools. The Dean of your school shouldn't be suspending you for what you have under MySpace.com. It your thing and you should be able to put whatever you want to put under there. As long as it is blocked from being accessed at school, you should not get suspended, and should be free to put whatever you wanto put on it.
