It sounds illegal to me. It's a violation of your right to free speech. He could possibly be doing this to obtain access to your account and gain personal information about students. I would definitely report his behaviour to my parents, and have them contact the school board.

I doubt there's a specific criminal law against that, but if this incident were reported to his superiors, he might get a slap on the wrist.

Schools have considerable latitude to restrict students' First Amendment rights. Any challenge on constitutional grounds would probably require a lengthy and expensive court battle.

NO I don't think that is legal..you should talk to your parents about that...Usually the school board has an attorney..I would try to make an appointment to see them or at least the school board...That is RIDICULOUS! That's something that goes on in your free time and if you don't ever log in at school he has no business snooping around your MySpace....I mean unless someone had a threat to bomb the school or something and they told but..I mean extreme case there. SEE SOMEONE ABOUT THIS...He is on a power trip!

Sounds to me illegal. He may have on his computer a program with a keylogger so that he knows your password even if he didn't see you type it. Such as IAMBIGBROTHER. He could then later log into your MY Space and do stuff to make it look like you did it. Change your password imediately and check to see if your My Space was compromised.

If you can prove he did anything to your MySpace to get you in trouble, you may be able to take legal action and have his computer seized to be analyzed for evidence.
